I have a friend that has a horse, and his leg got cut by barbed wire, and now it is taking a really long time to heal.
She has had several doctors to look at it, but they have no idea of why it is not healing.
Any suggestions? She has been giving the horse antibiotics for several weeks.

Bonsylar is right…you need to have it checked again. Depending on the wound, and dressings, there are all types of complications or reasons for not healing. Wounds with open air versus bandages heal at different paces. Granulation tissue sometimes looks worse than the original wound and makes a person feel that something isn’t healing. Wound gels sometimes help with cuts. Antibiotics aren’t the cure-all. A reputable vet needs to see the wounds.
